My business started out with the creation of the Buckeye Bangle. Since my husband and I are avid Ohio State Buckeye fans (well my husband is avid) I wanted to have a classy piece of jewelry that showed my Buckeye Pride. So the Buckeye Bangle was created. Since then the Buckeyes won the 2002 National Football Championship ( I can't prove it but I'm sure my Buckeye Bangle had something to do with it) and the demand for the Buckeye Jewelry has taken off. Even the former president of The Ohio State University, Dr. Karen Hollbrook has one along with Mrs. Jim Tressel the football coach's wife.
Buckeye Jewelry is good during the various sports seasons but I also wanted jewelry that I could wear every day. I LOVE this stuff. It seems like I've always been creating some kind of jewelry but really started to enjoy making various types of sterling silver jewelry after taking wire classes from one of the masters, Connie Fox in San Diego, California. I'm still learning new techniques every day, and Connie has been very instrumental in that. For that I'm forever grateful. I also took PMC classes from Lisa Blackwell. I love her style!
The lampwork beads that are a part of many of my jewelry pieces are purchased from around the world. Many are one of a kind and can't be duplicated.
As I've taken additional classes and perfected my techniques I've added some very unique and different styles to my collection. I've found that due to the availability of some of the beads I use most pieces that I make are one of a kind.
I am now a certified PMC instructor and look forward to expanding my work in this area.
Most recently I've been mastering the art of enameling, taking classes from some of the experts in the field. My new pieces are utilizing the combination of metal and enamel in some truely unique designs.
I've been truely blessed with my talent and many people have asked if I could teach them what I know. So, I've added some classes now so that I can pass on what I've learned. If you think you would like to learn how to make this type of jewelry click on the classes button or please call me and I would be happy to talk with you about it.
Enjoy.
